Kennedy (D-MA) founded The Fund for a Democratic Majority – renamed The Committee for a Democratic Majority in 1995. Today Senator Kennedy remains the Honorary Chair. The Committee for a Democratic Majority works to elect Democrats to Congress, and its principal current goal is electing a Democratic majority in the Senate and House of Representatives in 2004. Since 1995, the Committee for a Democratic Majority has contributed over $650,000 to more than 100 Democratic candidates and party committees in 41 states, and has also helped them raise millions of dollars for themselves. You can help Senator Kennedy, the Committee for a Democratic Majority, and Democratic candidates across the country by volunteering for candidates in your area and making a contribution to Democratic Majority. Together we can elect Democratic majorities to Congress, and make long-overdue progress for our nation on key issues such as homeland security, the economy, education, health care, civil rights, the environment, and the rights of working families.
